Chefs & Owners, Gene Allsworth & Christy Boyer

We are a husband & wife team with over 50 years of combined experience in fine dining & healthy cooking. Both Professional Chefs, we relocated to Southwest Florida from Rhode Island in 2016. We took over the “Body & Soul Cafe” from it’s prior location on Tamiami Trail in Naples, and created a new business venture specializing in home delivered healthy prepared meals.

Christy Boyer has over 15 years of experience in Vegetarian, Vegan and Farm-To-Table foods. For 10 years, she was Executive Chef at the award winning “Garden Grille” in Pawtucket, RI. She was also Sous Chef at the highly acclaimed “Celestial Cafe” in Exeter, RI, and cooked at Cafe Luna & as a prepared foods chef at Whole Foods Market, both in Cranston, RI.

Gene Allsworth brings over 40 years of fine dining experience as former restaurant owner, Executive Chef, Food Safety Director (large produce company), & Organic Certification Consultant. In 1999, his restaurant “Trieste” was named “Best New Restaurant” by the editors of RI Monthly Magazine, and was named by Yankee Magazine as a top destination for diners in New England. His food has been featured in several magazines & publications. His resume includes such Rhode Island notables as The Executive Chef at the “White Horse Tavern” in Newport (America’s Oldest Restaurant since 1673), “Raphael Bar Risto” in East Greenwich (James Beard Award Winner), and “Amalfi” of Narragansett. He has been Chef at many award winning restaurants in Boston, Connecticut & California as well.
